POV: YOU HAVE ONLY FEW DAYS TO EXAMS

FAITH + DOINGS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT= ACADEMIC COMEBACK!

Dearest Student, and most importantly, Child of God,

There is an adage in Yoruba that reads: "If we wrap pounded yam in a leaf and serve soup in groundnut shells, those who will be full will be full."

What is the jargon above? You may be wondering. Well, here is the gist. It doesn't matter how UNILAG has run this semester, those whose best semester will be this semester will suffice.

Your classes may have been inconsistent. Your lecturers may not have taught anything on the course outline. You may have attended few classes or none so far. You may post memes and vent your frustrations on social media as much as you are in your feelings. But do not let this be your excuse to not study hard or to not perform well this semester. Because the truth is: those who will excel this semester will indeed excel.

The question is: Are YOU in that number? Will you be among those who sing a song of victory despite all odds, or will you be among those who blame their results on circumstances?

2 Timothy 2:15A [New Living Translation (NLT)] says:

"Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval."

Beloved, it is not too late to make your academic comeback! If the same Holy Spirit who made Elijah outrun Ahab's chariots lives in you, what are UNILAG exams that you cannot subdue?

Yes, we are people of faith and the Holy Spirit is helping us, but faith without works is dead. Show your faith with doings! Study, Solve Past Questions, Read and Digest your course materials, but most importantly, READ WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Isaiah 30:21 (NLT) says:

"Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it.' "

Do not fret. Rest assured knowing the Battle is the Lord's, and the Victory is yours!
